Everybody's heard of the alleged affiliation that Frank Sinatra had with the Mafia and now a new book is set to lend even more credibility to this oft-expressed notion.

According to Vanity Fair Magazine, a passage in the book Sinatra: The Life, indicates that Jerry Lewis says Sinatra once worked as a mob courier and was almost busted with a briefcase carrying $3.5 million in cold, hard cash.

According to the excerpt, Lewis says that in the late '40s Sinatra was going through customs with a suitcase containing $3.5 million in $50 bills. Customs workers opened the case, but due to throngs of adoring Sinatra admirers the officials had to quickly end their search.
