With over 1,000 CDs coming out every single week, it has been harder and harder for artists to get press attention. Sometimes it takes newspapers or magazines up to six months to review a new release. If a band is trying to build a press kit this can be very frustrating.

Most publications barely pay writers enough money to make CD reviews worth their time and there are fewer and fewer column inches to accommodate new releases.

This has decreased the chances of ever getting reviewed by a legitimate writer and frustrates both band trying to get their new CD reviewed and writer who would love to review more CDs but can?t.
