    Trusty Files Pulls a Sharepro

The Urban Dictionary defines Sharepro as

A person who lies on the internet.
You do not own a 6GHz Pentium 5, stop being such a SharePro.
You don't have a clue about secutity you SharePro.
People who think ES5 (EarthStation V) is a good application are SharePro's. (Or more likely SharePro clones

Trusty Files are one of a growing number of multi-network file sharing clients available to peers today. Its homepage sports a Kazaa Gold like look, and brags about being the client being able to connect to muliple networks including Gnutella, Gnutella 2, and Fast Track.

A few advanced users began to question Trusty Files after looking at its code and finding code from both gIFT, and Gnucleus. These clients are open source and fall under the G.N.U. or General Public License. Trusty Files have claimed that 100% of this code was their own.

In a thread Here you will see they are clearly lying. Marc Freedman is lying to us, or his programmers are lying to him. Trusty Files would be wise to fix this situation as soon as possible. As Earth Station 5 has learned, its hard to regain the trust of the P2P community once you betray it.

One can hardly help but question the motives of those who lie about their own true nature.

Here's a very interesting thread on Slyck about this:
    http://www.slyck.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5424

The evidence has been put forward, yet these people still continue to lie. They have some major explaining to do before anyone begins to trust their software.

The name is very ironic indeed.

It's great to see more truths being exposed in this world of file-sharing. Great work Ashton.

    Trusty Files Pulls a Sharepro

C'mon guys, most of us know that this person lied many times and right at a person we both knew (knows a lot about code "Julian Aston") Ever since then, I take razorpop or marc freedman like a grain of salt. He is just another wannabe and most telling he probably was lied to by his developers simply by his bliind belief and not being openminded to handle criticism.

Best we forget about this person and his application. The more we talk about it, the more attention (or free advertising) is given. Know what I mean??

Well I don't know if that really worked for ES5, I think it ended up giving them a bad rap, and I hope the same thing happens to Trusty files for this.

I don't think many people know about them at all. They've only become known in the community lately because of the recent UTC interview and similar posts.

Bad publicity, you mean. The way they're carrying on they'll get plenty of that. Everyone has a right to know about the current situations and discuss them if they wish.

ToM, What I meant is most people in the know, like us in these such forums know this app is crap. I am afraid some noob will think " hey they are giving this guy an unfair rap and mebe I will check it out myself" IMHO Big Mistake for the noob sharing on a 3rd world type of application when so many better ones exist. Sorry if I didnt explain myself better.

Yes while I totally understand where you are coming from, just as many n00bs will think "hey, this guy is a lying fuck, I'm not using that piece of shit", let's assume that there are just as many smart n00bs as dumb ones rather than putting them all in the same group, we were all n00bs once .

Nicely put, Lord I hope the smart ones outweigh the uninformed ones. That is why sites like this one come to existence. To help the new people experience on p2p to be a good one instead of why is this slow and why is that app is better type questions. The list goes on & on & on........

Razorpop (TrustyFiles) has responded to an email sent by UTC. Read the latest > click.

Keep an eye on that thread at Slyck, it's the most active and Ashton and co. are posting their findings there.
