    .BIN Video Files?

Uh...is there any program that would let me open these to edit them? I tried VirtualDub and saved them as AVI, but they use the indeo codec. Is there a program or way to make them not to use the indeo and something else instead?

Not sure if you can do that directly from a "*.bin" file. However, you can convert the "bin" file to an "*.iso" file so that you can burn it.

You can use a little program called: "BinChunker" to do that. A search of Google should give you some d/l sites. Current version is 1.70..............

    Hope this helps.

Thx gbread unfortunately you didnt get the cigar:squint: The BIN files im working on are literally video files. I managed to get them opened in a few video players but i wanna rip them to AVI.

The reason is that they are streaming from the HD too much, makes them lag, and sound move foward. OH and its cause im porting RE 2 sounds and stuff to UT 2003 engine

To get the video files ready for editing (are they in SVCD format??)

Use VCDEasy or VCDGear to convert the .dat file back into a .mpg file. You should then be able to convert the .mpg file into and .avi file...using whatever codec you decide on.

If you have trouble with the .bin file itself, you might load the .bin file directly to a virtual drive such as Alcohol or Daemontools. You should then be able to copy the .dat file to work on it.

VCDEasy is the easiest (but they now charge for it), VCDGear is free and you can use that to convert back into a .mpg file.

I know that does not completely address all of your questions, but at least it should get you started properly...and keep the sound synch intact.

Im not sure if these BIN files im working on are SVCD. Hell i even tried VCDgwar. Im starting to think to convert from one type to another until i reach AVI...or anything with small size.
