    I Hate WoW

Ok, so i was walking around and eventually ended up at toys r us with my brother. i saw the WoW trial DVD, and raved about how bad it was for a while. he told me it was a decent game and had played it at his friends place before. then i realized it had next to it "8 million online!". i soon realized that if 8 million people play (and pay for it at that matter) it couldn't be all that bad.

So i buy it and go home. my computers havent been upgraded in a while, so my good computer only just past the computing requirments. i put the dvd into the disc drive and it starts installing.

1 and a half hours later its finished installing. im not pissed yet because ive been chilling to HIM hangover music (because i like it) and surfing the internet on my shitass 600mhz computer in my room (separate to the pc ive been installing WoW on). i go to create an account, alright thats fine. then a thing pops up-i need to download a 3 GB update. then i recall one of the guys at the toys r us counter said "good game, but hope you enjoy the 3 GB patch". but thankfully the game opens after i click the shortcut on my desktop and i think to myself 'alright, i can still do the basic stuff in the game without the patch.

i log into the game and then it says 'please download this patch' which is apparently different to the other 3 gig one im currently downloading. so i exit out of WoW and start downloading the other patch. 10 minutes later, the 3 gig one is stuck on 3mb because "you are behind a firewall" and the other one hasn't started dispite the fact its status says "no errors detected". i canceled both downloads, took the trial dvd out and left it somewhere i dont care about. WoW sucks bigtime. Its a good thing i didn't buy the real deal or i would be paying for account that i cant use.

i might get warcraft 3 off my friend-ive heard thats much better spec wise and doesnt cost a penny on the internet.[/list]

I hate it too. I think the name should be World of Wankers. That seems more suitable.

It's not blizzard's fault you don't know how to forward your ports. It's got nothing to do with whether it's a decent game or not.

Why do you say that, and if you're uninterested, why are you trying to use a free trial?

Yes the installation is a bit long especially for those trials they release sometimes. but it went smoothly for me with no errors. It's probably just your computer.

Yup its a shitty game, because your are MORON.

You have seen me and Bubble gum rave about WOW. Pay to play, you really are an IDIOT. Private servers are alot more fun any day. Plus I can provide you with access to at least ONE private server.

Oh and if you want the full version, I'll send you to my private FTP to download all FIVE disks.

Oh yeah, and its more like 20 million people playing WOW. Yup its a shitty game, because YOUR ARE AN IDIOT!

Oh and it installed just fine on a AMD Duron 1.2 with 512 mb of ram.

i dont want to play on a private server because i cant care enough to bother, i dont want to play on the real server because it costs 30 bucks a month i could spend on music or video games, ive never seen any other thread or post by you or bubblegum raving about WoW, it doesn't matter how many people play the game because according to this itnews australia site there are 8 mil accounts-my brother plays his mates WoW account because he also doesnt see the need to buy the game and make his own account when he can do it for free with someone elses. the computer i was trying to install on was an Intel Pentium 4 2GHz with 512 ram but it has a crappy onboard intel graphics card that cant play some retard future racing game i bought years ago that runs on directx 7 and yeah it probably is my internet, firewall and router that are causing the download but i dont get why you have to download a 3 gigabit update or patch and a 300 megabite other update or patch when i bought a DVD which should already have all the shit i need to install to play the game. and id also like to ad that ive tried to get a pro to forward my router for downloading stuff and it did squat

thanks for your private server and ftp download offers but im fine without them.

I'm just going to say I didn't like it, but I don't like most RPG's as well.

    Meh.

Any of these completely immersive type of games are for people with too much time on their hands.

Eg. If you are playing Second Life, you most likely could sorely use a first one.

Its not WoW that sucks, its the Blizzard Downloader and the P2P software integrated into it. Just disable the P2P thing in the blizzard downloader and you're good to go. I use my friend's account to play so its free for me and its the best free online game I have.
