woo! my K6 266 only have 32M memory(still in use ^_^), yours has such a large memory.

BitComet is running on:
CPU :
RAM size : 127.49 MB
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 98 SE
This is shown, when I run BitComet on my old PC which has an AMD K6 266mhz MMX
only a small thing, but the Client is running just fine on it![]()
woo! my K6 266 only have 32M memory(still in use ^_^), yours has such a large memory.
it even has 256MB SD-Ram, but the Mainboard is too old, so it only uses half of it
K6 266mhz......it's really too old.
my AthlonXP is in repair at the moment, so I have nothing else![]()
and the K6 is fast enough for BitComet![]()
it's nothing to do with BC
BC just uses the info provided by the system
after u have installed win98SE, the CPU info would not be shown
i have encountered this before
I have a P 133 @166 with 96Ram with WinXp Sp1 and it works fine.
how to use
how to use
..how to use what linda![]()
Very nice
If RnySmile has a AMD K6 266MHz MMX then why hasn't this bug been fixed? Not only does he have the hardware to test the problem but he can reproduce it himself and see what's going on behind the scenes.
On the BitComet homepage - http://www.bitcomet.com down near the download it says: Hardware Req: tested on AMD K6 266MHz MMX, 128M RAM and links to this thread.
Maybe he should add: "but CPU not recognized". Then again people can see that when they click on the link.
It just not can be use, NOT care about the CPU infomations BC told you any.Originally Posted by -CSX-

Despite what MS says WinXP's system requirements are, it can be installed on any x86 processor all the way back to the Pentium-60Mhz. As far as I know, WinXP will balk if you try to install it on a 486, but I've never seen it tried so I don't really know if that's true or not.
The real limiting factor for XP is the RAM: You need at least 32 MB of SDRAM (NOT EDO RAM!) or WinXP will take forever and a day to install, let alone boot.
The best system performance (that is, the point where adding more RAM doesn't give the kernel any more of a perfomance boost) comes at 512 MB of DDR RAM (you can go DDR2 if you can aford it). Any more than 512 MB of RAM only helps memory-intensive applications.
Me? I've got 4 sticks of 512MB DDR2, installed as two banks of dual-channel memory; But then, I'm playing games like Far Cry and doing heavy number-crunching work so I actualy need 4GB of RAM.
So, just to be clear: Bit Comet doesn't need the 512MB of RAM, but WinXP does.
Frankly, I wouldn't run Win9x/ME you paid me. Windows 2K/XP is very stable, while Win9x/ME is very unstable
AMD K6 266的 CPU 用 BT这个软件足够用啦,呵呵
