i notice that he didnt say hes fixed quite a major bug concerning dht currently, in that its easy for people to manually enable it even on privately marked torrents

That's great. If RnySmile keeps up with the bugfixes like this then soon the private trackers won't have a reason to ban then new clients.

I wish he would have set the announce back to BitComet 0.64 instead of BitTorrent 3.4.2.

Seeing that "optional IE Toolbar removed" got me hoping the useless browser had been removed. But I guess that can wait until next release.

I'm gonna try it for a day or so. Because I already have found a bug. Namely: I can't block users that give errors. That's quite annoying. When I blocked error-users with 0.63 and before, my down/up speed raised. I think I wait for 0.65.

I wish he would have set the announce back to BitComet 0.64 instead of BitTorrent 3.4.2.
    So do I.

yea, it appears that the blocking is bugged right now too

i also cant seem to get rss feeds to open in bc, firefox automatically opens the link in browser and when i try to open the file (from hdd) bc gives me a "cant access folder" error

    will play more

Bitcomet 0.64 fails when trying to upload a torrent

The Pirate Bay gives this message when trying to upload a torrent using BitComet 0.64:

Internal error in the torrent parser.
This most likely means that something is wrong with the format of the torrent.
Try re-creating it with another program.

    dictionary is missing key(s)

Mininova also refuses to accept torrents made with version 0.64

installed 0.64 just now and it totally messed my PC up which rarely happens. had to do a system restore blah blah.

i'm going to try it again as it seems no one else is having any issues.
its nice to see this client having monthly (almost) releases which is very promising for the future of such a great client!

    THANKS!!

Another operating system? BitComet only runs on windows. There isn't anything to really back up, just do a fresh install.

I've found my downloads to be much slower the past few releases. I would like to roll back, but it seems like I can't. Anyone know how to delete BC 0.64 completely without doing a system restore or reinstalling windows?

Why don't you just download the zip file of 0.63 and just paste the BitComet.exe into the BitComet program folder to replace the 0.64 exe. No settings lost or any other changes needed.

And before you complain about 0.63 it's the same as 0.62 only it's encryption is compatible with µTorrent & Azureus. So it pays to use 0.63.

Why is everyone in a hurry to update even when people are having problems with it?

My policy is never update to any new version of any new software, unless:
    - it fixes a bug that affects me (fix some other bugs that don't affect me? don't update)
    - add a feature/improvement that I really need (add a bunch of features I don't need? don't update).
