Just wandering is there any possible way to make BC remembers the customized column sizes from one version to another?

Though this is a bit unconvenient, but it is still bearable.

Good job done. Haven't encountered any crashes... yet.

    1st Edit:
    Suggestion for 0524
When the user clicks on the Property again after a torrent has been saved (shown in the BC but at "stopped status"), if he/she chooses "Start Now" and the max download tasks has not been reached, let the torrent starts downloading/uploading.

    Question:
Got this pop up saying "No error occurred. :" (the exact words).
    What does this mean?
Anyway I can't start / manual hash this torrent. Assume got something wrong with the torrent file?
Maybe could make the error message clearer?

    2nd Edit:
Got this "No error occurred. :" pop up for quite a few torrents.
Maybe this is some kind of bug?

    3rd Edit:
Pretty much sure that this "No error occurred. :" pop up is some kind of bug. I go back to 0522 version and are able to download the torrents that got this pop up in 0524.

For now I'll stick with 0522 till rnysmile figures out actually what went wrong.

Enable the option 「Add .bc! file extension for unfinished file」to fix this problem.

    Thanks, Kameraman.

rnysmile, please fix this so that it can run for those who has disabled the "Add .bc! file extension" feature. Thanks.

    Report on 0524:
    1. Conflict with Zone Alarm (version zlsSetup_50_590_015)
This is the latest version of Zone Alarm. Somehow BC will crash every time. Actually it's not only BC crashing, but my whole comp crashed.
Hmm... it's either the Zone Alarm now uses too much memory or maybe the ppl at Zone Alarm improved their firewall to such length that...
Anyway, my 0522 version crashes every time till I uninstall the Zone Alarm 5.0 and go back to Zone Alarm 4.5.

    2. Access Violation for .bc!
I tried as what Kameraman said and enabled the .bc! file extenstion.
This time I'll be able to download. But after some time (less than 5 min) I got this "Access violation with .bc!" (error message is more or less like that) error.
So I have to go back to 0522, again.

OK, after some testing I found another bug in the tracker stats. When a torrent is stopped and restarted (no matter if immediatly or after a complete system reboot) the stats do not start at 0 where it should, but where I was when I stopped the torrent. This way I can be connected 1 second, but having uploaded 500MB (for example) and downloaded 500MB. This way I can cheat A.L.T.s (Anti-Leech-Tracker) what is not good.
I'm still using 0522, if 0524 does not have this bug then tell me, otherwise fix it please. (I don't want to use 0524 if there are that many problems with it )

    edit 28.05.04:
I just downloaded 0527 and still the tracker displays the total upload/download, not the session transfer.
    Bug or Feature?
How I said, trackers that count the total transfer are cheated by that.

Hmm, I don't know how your reply to me in that thread escaped my notice until you pointed to it. Blarg. I'm glad it was fixed for you.

I've experienced a few times that BC simply just stop downloading at the last few chunks of data even though there are plenty of seeds and leeches connected.

I need to stop it and do the manual hashing. Only then I can start downloading again.

Just stopping the torrent and reconnecting alone won't work. The important thing is it needs to go through the hashing.

    The logic? Search me.

When using version 0528, even there are a lot of seed, the overall percentage is stopped at 99.9% for a long time without download anything. And the upload is still in progress.

However, after I reinstalled 0527, the download is continued and completed.

    Please take a look, thanks.

I can confirm what windy encountered with ZA 5.0. After
installing that shitty program it killed BC totally I was using BC
    0528.
Seems like this new version of ZA don't like P2P programs, so beware
folks. After uninstalling ZA BC worked fine again (using 0509) .

Same for me. Thanks folks, you have spared me some (maybe lot of debugging. Looks like ZA 5 and all versions of BC are conflicting IF THERE IS an internet connection. All taskbar operations seemed to halt, but recovered, if I have disconnected.

In the end I have reinstalled ZA 4.5. BC is more imortant

I hope the new version can have better support for non-LAN connections. the download rate is improving, but still only about half of what other clients can do.

I am just wondering since there is so much change shouldn't it be called 0.55 or 0.6 instead of 0.53??
